Champion
Martial Arts

We are a family run Taekwondo School based in swindon, and we facilitate after-school clubs in the surrounding area, as well as our own dojo based sessions on a friday every week in Penhill, St Peter's Church Hall.

We have a passion to teach and share the martial art to individuals of all ages, regardless of ability, and our fun and engaging sessions will gradually build an individual from a white belt to a black belt in their own time.

Are classes are aimed at children and adults of any ability. We know that everyone learns at different speeds and in different ways, so we will try has hard as possible to facilitate this.

Affordable Fees

We charge enough to cover our costs, and a little to put towards equipment to keep it in good working order.

Free Uniform

The uniform is included as part of the first months fee. This has to be ordered and so may not be available immediately.

What we do.

A few things we love doing.

Junior Classes

Our junior syllabus (ages 5yrs to 12 yrs) is slightly different and less dawnting to our adult syllabus, where we will cover taekwondo grading patterns, basic punches and kicks, line work and other fun exercises and drills. The junior classes are a great way for children to grow their confidence and social skills, learn dicipline and develop thier focus, alongside their overall fitness and progression in taekwondo through acheiving their colour belts leading to their junior black belt.

Adult Classes

Our adult syllabus is different to the junior syllabus, and there are more advanced punches and kicks included. This is a great way to develop technique, overall fitness, strength and focus. As adults progress through their colour belts, they will grow in confidence and pave the way to acheiving their fully-fledged 1st degree black belt. Self defence drills will also form part of the adult syllabus as well.

Sparring

Sparring sessions will teach indiviudals how to fight, using techniques which have already been learnt. This is all done in a very safe environment, and under proffessional supervision, and our approved sparring kits allow individuals to feel safe whilst learning the different sparring methods.

Self Defence

The self defence element of Champion Martial Arts enables individuals to deal with different threatening scenarios, and teaches a knowledge of counter moves and drills that can be used to protect yourself. This is different to our sparring sessions as self defence is exactly that - defence.

SAFEGUARDING

Safeguarding We have designated our Governing Body, British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA) to act as our club’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). BMABA can provide an impartial and expert response to safeguarding concerns if you do not feel you can raise it with our club directly.

You should still contact our club first with concerns, if you feel you can. If you need to contact BMABA, you can do so by visiting bmaba.org.uk/safeguarding or by emailing safeguarding@bmaba.org.uk. Our assigned Lead Officer is Aimee Little. In her absence, another suitably trained deputy will be available from BMABA’s dedicated safeguarding team.
